Midland Health has exclusively retained Kirby Bates Associates to lead a national search for a Director of Critical Care at Midland Memorial Hospital (MMH). The Director of Critical Care is a newly restructured leadership role carved out from Nursing Operations to provide focused oversight of critical care services and provide visible, credible, and strategic leadership for the ICU and PCU, championing high-quality patient care, staff engagement, and operational excellence. Reporting to the Chief Nursing Officer, this leader is responsible for the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of patient care programs, policies, and procedures across the division. Great focus on patient-centered approach and interdisciplinary collaboration of care delivery is a priority. The role partners closely with executive leadership, medical staff, ancillary departments, and frontline teams to drive shared decision-making, foster a culture of safety and accountability, and advance quality, performance improvement, and patient outcomes. The Director oversees budgeting, resource allocation, and workforce planning while ensuring compliance with regulatory and organizational standards. As a transformational leader, the Director will inspire a shared vision, promote innovation in care delivery, ensure evidence-based and best practices, while cultivating a collaborative environment that enables clinicians to perform at their highest level.
