Director of Case Management

Clinical Magnet (part of ICON Medical) is hiring a Case Management Director for a leadership opportunity at an inpatient rehabilitation hospital in Northern Virginia. This role is open to experienced healthcare professionals without a clinical license who bring strong case management leadership experience.

Job Summary:

The Case Management Director oversees the day-to-day operations of the Case Management department, ensuring effective care coordination, utilization management, and discharge planning. This is a great opportunity for an experienced healthcare leader ready to step into a high-impact role.

Key Responsibilities:

· Manage daily operations of the Case Management department

· Oversee utilization review and discharge planning processes

· Ensure compliance with policies, regulations, and quality standards

· Lead, mentor, and support Case Management staff

· Collaborate with clinical and administrative leadership teams

· Assist with patient caseloads when needed

· Drive performance, efficiency, and patient outcomes

Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree required (healthcare-related field preferred)

· Minimum 3+ years of hospital-based case management leadership experience preferred

• OR 8+ years of case management experience in a hospital

· Strong background in utilization review and discharge planning

· Acute care or inpatient rehabilitation experience preferred

· CCM or ACM certification preferred (required within first year if not already obtained)

· Demonstrated leadership stability (2+ years in prior roles preferred)

Position Overview:

· Location: Northern Virginia (Aldie area)

· Job Type: Full-Time, Onsite Leadership Role

· Compensation: $120,000 – $130,000 annually + quarterly bonus opportunity

· Schedule: Day shift with leadership flexibility

· Oversight of established Case Management team
