The Opportunity


ANDERSON is looking for a Director of Account Services who is equal parts strategic thinker and meticulous operator — someone who runs high-value client relationships with precision, leads the day-to-day without dropping a single ball, and thinks several moves ahead on behalf of every client we serve.

Who You Are

You are a seasoned ad agency professional with at least 10 years of client service experience. You have worked on multi-million dollar accounts, managed cross-functional agency teams, and built a reputation as someone clients trust and look to for guidance. You understand that great account service is not just about keeping clients happy — it is about becoming the kind of strategic partner they cannot imagine working without.

You are fluent in the tools and platforms that power modern advertising — from digital media and analytics to AI-assisted workflows — and you bring genuine curiosity to everything you touch. You do not wait to be handed an agenda; you build one. You thrive in an environment where your instincts are trusted, your voice shapes the work, and the people around you push you to be better.

You will also lead the account team supporting your clients — setting direction, developing talent, and building the kind of cohesive, high-performing group that clients feel every time they interact with the agency.

What You’ll Own


Client Leadership & Strategy

  • Serve as the primary strategic partner for a portfolio of multi-million dollar accounts, leading with vision and earning trust at every level of the client organization
  • Drive integrated marketing strategies, planning sessions, and quarterly business reviews that connect client goals to measurable outcomes
  • Translate campaign performance and market trends into sharp insights and proactive recommendations — always a step ahead
  • Anticipate client needs, surface risks early, and bring solutions before problems have a chance to take root


Operational Excellence

  • Own every project from kickoff to delivery — managing timelines, budgets, briefs, and deliverables across multiple workstreams simultaneously
  • Write and supervise creative and media briefs that inspire great work; deliver reporting that tells a story, not just a spreadsheet
  • Keep billing, documentation, and account reporting accurate, timely, and client-ready at all times

Agency & Team Leadership

  • Connect the client’s world to every internal discipline — creative, media, digital, and PR — with the clarity and context teams need to do their best work
  • Mentor and develop junior account staff, modeling the standards and culture that define ANDERSON’s account services team
  • Partner with agency leadership on resource planning, new business, and the agency’s continued growth
  • As the agency scales, grow into expanded team leadership with direct reports

Qualifications

Required

  • 10+ years of client service experience within an advertising or integrated marketing agency
  • Proven track record managing multi-million dollar accounts across complex, multi-channel scopes
  • Senior-level client relationship experience — presenting strategy, navigating tough conversations, and driving results
  • Strong command of traditional and digital marketing, analytics, and media platforms including GA4, Meta Ads Manager, and Google Ads
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication; you write a tight brief and own a room
  • Fluency in project management tools (Basecamp, Asana, or similar) and comfort with AI-assisted workflows

Preferred

  • Experience across financial services, healthcare, hospitality, CPG, or nonprofit categories
  • Working knowledge of paid and organic media, including planning, buying, and campaign trafficking
  • Background leading or mentoring account teams, formally or informally
