Position Summary:

The Director of Colleague Opportunity and Engagement Programs plays a key role in shaping the organizational culture where all colleagues feel valued, connected, and empowered throughout their experience at Hartford HealthCare. The Director partners with human resources and business units to implement strategies that foster a sense of community, improve access to opportunity, and enhance the overall colleague experience. The Director supports enterprise-wide efforts that align with Hartford HealthCare's People Promise and Value of Caring, with a focus on colleague engagement, connection and recognition.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Partner with senior leaders to implement a system-wide strategy that advances opportunity and authentic engagement for all colleagues
  • Establish, track, and report on goals, metrics, dashboards, and outcomes related to access, advancement, and engagement
  • Utilize engagement tools and data to develop and implement initiatives that embed opportunity and engagement into the colleague experience across the employee lifecycle
  • Serve as the primary liaison to Colleague Resource Groups (CRGs) and Engagement Committees. Support alignment of CRG and Committees strategies with system and department goals, and foster shared learning and collaboration across groups
  • Partner with Human Resources and Learning & Development to support career pathways and continuous learning opportunities
  • Drive equitable access to programs and resources that support colleague engagement and growth and leadership pipeline development
  • Work across business units to integrate opportunity and engagement strategies into operational practices

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree is required
  • Five plus years of experience in a human resources or related role (such as inclusion and belonging, learning and development, employee experience, culture, etc.) in a complex and integrated setting
  • Two plus years of supporting and/or leading job-related initiatives such as listening programs, recognition programs, and colleague resource groups
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze data and recommend solutions and actions to support identified gaps
  • Highly collaborative, entrepreneurial, creative, and innovative
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to influence and motivate constituencies across multiple departments and functions
  • Demonstrated excellence in planning, organizational and analytical skills
  • Demonstrated ability to make sound decisions using good judgment and innovative and creative problem-solving
  • Strong project management skillset and the ability to manage financial, organizational and staff resources
  • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills with the ability to cultivate professional partnerships
  • Demonstrated success in launching new programs or initiatives
  • Proven ability to engage effectively with executive leaders and a varied group of stakeholders
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, organizational skills, and attention to detail
