Director Clinical Operations
Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
CB Partners is working with a high‑growth, venture‑backed healthcare startup operating in the specialty pharmaceuticals and biosimilars space. The company is assembling its early leadership team and seeking a senior clinical and operations leader to help establish the core infrastructure that will support future scale.
This is a foundational role that blends strategic leadership with active execution. The individual will work closely with executive leadership to stand up clinical capabilities, define operating processes, and ensure external service partners deliver against the company’s standards from day one.
What You’ll Be Responsible For
- Lead the development and day‑to‑day oversight of clinical operations, including care models, workflows, and patient engagement initiatives
- Act as the primary point of accountability for third‑party service providers supporting call center operations, nursing programs, drug acquisition, contracting, and rebate administration
- Build a strong working knowledge of specialty and biosimilar product flow, ensuring seamless execution from manufacturer through patient access
- Manage vendor performance, quality metrics, and contract alignment to ensure consistency with organizational goals and patient experience expectations
- Contribute to the design of the company’s operating framework and organizational structure within a startup environment that leverages outsourced and shared services
- Partner directly with the founder and senior leadership team to influence scale strategy, process maturity, and long‑term operational direction
What We’re Looking For
- Demonstrated experience across clinical operations within specialty pharmacy, PBMs, payer‑aligned organizations, or healthcare consulting environments
- Practical, working knowledge of the specialty drug and biosimilar ecosystem and associated operational complexities
- Proven track record of success in early‑stage or rapidly evolving organizations, with comfort navigating ambiguity
- Ability to balance high‑level strategic thinking with hands‑on problem solving and execution
Experience & Education
- Candidates must bring credible, hands‑on industry experience and demonstrated operational expertise
