Diesel Technician

Job Description:

As a Diesel Technician, you will work on a variety of equipment including trucks, industrial equipment, heavy machinery, and generators. Your role will involve diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel engines and related components in heavy-duty vehicles.

Pay:

• $28-35/hour

Hours:

• Monday thru Friday 7:00Am to 5:00PM

Responsibilities:

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel engines in trucks, buses, and other heavy-duty vehicles.
• Accurately and efficiently diagnose complex diesel engine conditions and perform necessary repairs.
• Repair, adjust, and modify all heavy-duty components.
• Communicate positively with service writers, foreman, parts department, and customers.
• Keep paperwork updated and submit upon completion.
• Meet requirements for certifications.
• Perform administrative duties related to the position.

Skills:

• Proficiency in hydraulics, electrical systems, diesel engine repair, and diagnostic testing.
• 3 to 10 years of experience in diesel truck, equipment, or generator repair.
• Ownership of $10,000-$40,000 in tools.
• Positive attitude and good tenure at previous employment.
• Experience with heavy equipment, diesel generators, and transmissions.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Technical degree or certification is a plus, but not required.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• 3 to 5 years of experience in diesel truck diagnosing and repairs.
• Valid driver's license (compensation bonus for candidates with a CDL).
• Willingness to participate in company-paid training and certifications.

This is a Permanent position based out of Sioux Falls, SD.

The pay range for this position is $60000.00 - $100000.00/yr.
