A growing rural health dermatology practice is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to provide high-quality medical dermatology care to an underserved community in Rosewood, NC. Responsibilities



  • Perform comprehensive dermatologic evaluations, including full-body skin exams and patient histories
  • Diagnose and manage a variety of dermatologic conditions, including acne, eczema, psoriasis, rosacea, dermatitis, fungal infections, and rashes
  • Evaluate and treat precancerous and cancerous skin lesions, including AK, BCC, SCC, and melanoma within scope of practice
  • Perform dermatologic procedures including:
  • Shave, punch, and excisional biopsies
  • Cryotherapy
  • Lesion removal
  • Wound care and post-procedure management
  • Order and interpret dermatopathology and diagnostic testing
  • Develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with supervising physicians
  • Prescribe medications and therapies in accordance with licensure guidelines
  • Educate patients on skin health, disease prevention, and treatment plans
  • Maintain accurate and timely EMR documentation
  • Ensure compliance with clinical, regulatory, and HIPAA standards
  • Participate in ongoing dermatology-focused education and professional development



Qualifications



  • Master’s degree from an accredited NP or PA program
  • Active North Carolina NP or PA license
  • National certification (AANP/ANCC for NPs or NCCPA for PAs)
  • Minimum 1 year of dermatology experience required
  • Strong clinical assessment and procedural skills
  • Excellent communication and patient education abilities
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced clinical environment

Preferred Skills



  • Dermatology certification (DCNP or equivalent) or interest in obtaining certification

  • Interest in rural healthcare and long-term patient relationships
