This is not a traditional Deputy City Administratorrole.Kentwood operates under a strong mayor form of government, creating a unique leadership dynamic. The Deputy City Administrator serves as a strategic advisor, operational leader, and problem-solving partner, a trusted extension of the Mayor and a key liaison to the City Commission.

You will operate at the center of it all, translating vision into execution, aligning departments, and ensuring the organization runs with precision, clarity, and purpose.

This role is responsible for coordinating city operations, advising on policy and strategy, overseeing programs, and advising and collaborating with department leaders to ensure effective service delivery.This recruitment will remain open until filled, with a first review of applications on Friday, May 1, 2026.
