Required Skills & Experience

  • OSHA 10 construction certification, or willingness to obtain quickly
  • Hands‑on experience working inside data centers
  • Structured cabling experience (Cat5e/Cat6 and fiber)
  • Ability to install, terminate, and test copper and fiber cabling
  • Ability to read cabling drawings and follow labeling standards
  • Comfortable working in active, live data center environments
  • Basic troubleshooting skills for cabling and connectivity issues
  • Ability to work on ladders, lift equipment, and stand for extended periods

Nice to Have

  • Experience in large‑scale or hyperscale data centers (Oracle, AWS, Google, Meta, etc.)
  • Familiarity with TIA and BICSI cabling standards
  • Experience in colocation or enterprise data center environments

Job Overview

This role supports data center build‑outs and infrastructure projects. You’ll install and test cabling, support rack and hardware setup, and assist with general technical labor tasks while following strict safety and site procedures.

Day‑to‑Day Responsibilities

  • Pull, route, install, and secure copper and fiber cabling
  • Label and document cabling according to site standards
  • Assemble and install racks, panels, and related hardware
  • Assist with equipment setup, material handling, and site prep
  • Troubleshoot basic connectivity and cabling issues
  • Follow OSHA and site‑specific safety requirements, including PPE and security checks
  • Work with supervisors and technicians to meet daily goals and project timelines

Compensation:

$18/hr to $22/hr.

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Employees in this role will enjoy a comprehensive benefits package starting on day one of employment, including options for medical, dental, and vision insurance. Eligibility to enroll in the 401(k) retirement plan begins after 90 days of employment. Additionally, employees in this role will have access to paid sick leave and other paid time off benefits as required under the applicable law of the worksite location.
