Customer Success Manager | Elmhurst, Illinois | Salary: $70,000 + bonus
The CSM is responsible for ensuring a seamless customer experience from onboarding through ongoing account management. This role serves as the primary liaison between customers and internal operations teams, proactively managing relationships, resolving service issues, and identifying opportunities to improve service quality and account growth.
The candidate will be highly organized, customer-focused, and experienced in freight forwarding, logistics coordination, or transportation account management.

Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the main point of contact for assigned customer accounts
- Manage onboarding of new clients, ensuring smooth transition into operations
- Monitor shipments and proactively communicate updates, delays, or service issues
- Coordinate with dispatch, carrier partners, and operations teams to ensure on-time delivery performance
- Resolve customer concerns quickly and effectively, maintaining high satisfaction levels
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as on-time delivery, claims, and service compliance
- Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities in collaboration with sales teams
- Maintain accurate customer records in CRM and transportation management systems (TMS)
- Conduct regular account reviews and performance check-ins with clients
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance customer experience and operational efficiency
Qualifications
- 2-5 years of experience in logistics, freight forwarding, transportation, or account management
- Strong understanding of domestic U.S. trucking operations (FTL/LTL preferred)
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Ability to manage multiple accounts and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency with CRM and/or TMS platforms (e.g., McLeod, MercuryGate, Turvo, or similar)
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
