Customer Service Representative

This role is primarily responsible for efficiently managing high-volume phone calls, accurately processing orders, collaborating with various departments, and ensuring the completion of all requests.

Responsibilities

• Process orders, fulfill requests, and resolve problems efficiently.
• Answer incoming calls promptly and make outbound calls to key accounts.
• Enter key customer orders into Salespad.
• Create sample invoices for various departments including Sales, Service, and Finance.
• Coordinate with freight carriers to track shipments.
• Execute problem sheets and credits promptly, ensuring customer satisfaction.
• Provide backup support when a Customer Service Representative is absent.
• Perform other duties as requested.

• Minimum of 2 years of customer service experience in a call center environment.
• Proficiency in communicating with customers, order processing, and problem resolution.
• Strong follow-through and communication skills.
• PC-literate with experience in computerized ordering.
• High School diploma or GED.

• Experience in the food and beverage industry is highly desirable.
• Proficient in MRP system, MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Great phone and customer support skills.
• Ability to organize and prioritize workload to meet deadlines.

Work Environment

Work takes place in an office setting where the temperature is comparable to the outside ambient temperature. Employees may be required to handle food safety materials such as hairnets and gloves. Initial training may involve understanding roles like picker/packer, providing a varied role that includes time away from the desk.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Oakland, CA.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
