About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Customer Service Representative (CSR / Admin) to support accounts related to the international transportation of goods. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating shipments, supporting client needs, and ensuring seamless communication between customers, carriers, and internal teams.

What You’ll Do

  • Partner with clients to develop detailed profiles and procedures aligned with their export/import processes
  • Coordinate shipments by evaluating routes, rates, and delivery timelines; dispatch to carriers accordingly
  • Verify shipments by reviewing bills of lading, reconciling quantities, and identifying discrepancies
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for customers, providing shipment updates and resolving inquiries
  • Analyze and benchmark freight rates to identify cost efficiencies
  • Negotiate rate structures, including consolidation lanes and capacity planning; present recommendations to management
  • Monitor carrier performance and service issues; generate clear, data-driven reports
  • Perform freight forwarding functions, including booking shipments and issuing delivery orders
  • Track and confirm order status for pickups and deliveries
  • Review and analyze freight bills to ensure accuracy and customer-specific compliance
  • Maintain accurate shipment and account records in internal systems
  • Coordinate and expedite time-sensitive shipments and special requests

Training & Development

  • Participate in ongoing training to build industry knowledge and professional skills
  • Review and respond to internal communications and updates
  • Follow established quality procedures and standards
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives

Qualifications

  • Associate degree (2-year) or equivalent relevant work experience
  • Ability to work in an office environment and lift up to 20 pounds
