About the Role
We’re hiring a Creative Strategist Lead to own the strategic thinking across our client portfolio. You’ll be the person setting strategic direction on our most important accounts, mentoring junior strategists, and elevating the quality of strategy at Faceplant overall. This is a senior role with real authority. Strategy is core to what we sell, the quality of your thinking will directly shape how clients perceive the value we deliver. You’ll be empowered to set the strategic bar, develop our team, and define our point of view on social.
Responsibilities
Strategic blueprints and onboarding
- Leading strategic immersion and blueprint development for every new client
- Diagnosing client business goals, audience interests, and category dynamics
- Defining creative pillars and messaging architecture per account
- Building the KPI framework that measures success
- Presenting strategy to clients in a way that earns trust and buy-in
Ongoing strategic stewardship
- Owning monthly performance narratives, turning data into actionable recommendations
- Leading quarterly strategic reviews and pivots
- Spotting when strategy needs to evolve based on performance or market changes
- Proactively bringing ideas to clients (not just executing on requests)
- Running QBRs and strategic check-ins with senior client stakeholders
Creative briefs
- Writing briefs for new concepts, campaigns, and complex creative challenges
- Reviewing briefs the junior strategist writes for recurring content
- Translating strategy into clear creative direction the team can execute on
Team leadership and craft elevation
- Mentoring and developing our junior strategists
- Setting the quality bar for strategic output across the agency
- Reviewing strategic work+ content before it leaves the agency
- Developing reusable frameworks and templates so our strategy work compounds over time
- Contributing to agency POV on what works in social strategy right now
Cross-account intelligence
- Staying current on platform changes, format trends, and category shifts
- Spotting patterns across accounts that inform how we work
- Sharing strategic insights proactively with clients and the team
Qualifications
- 5+ years in social media strategy, with meaningful experience across multiple client types (agency or in-house)
- Demonstrated success owning strategy end-to-end, from research to blueprint to presentation to performance reporting
- Strong analytical chops, comfortable with native platform analytics, third-party tools, and translating data into narrative
- A point of view on what makes social strategy work in 2026, and the ability to articulate it
- Experience mentoring more junior strategists, or genuine interest in doing so
- Comfort presenting to and pushing back on senior client stakeholders
- Strong written and verbal communication; you can write a deck that lands
- Experience juggling multiple accounts simultaneously without dropping quality
- Familiarity with Monday.com, Dropbox, Google Workspace, Sprout Social and the major social analytics tools
- Versatility across client types: we work with B2B, corporate, and consumer clients
Pay range and compensation package
- $90–110k base salary depending on experience
- Annual company performance bonus
