Our client, the U.S.’s largest commercial real estate services firm, has an exciting opportunity for a Cost Management Consultant to support project delivery within a corporate real estate environment in Palm Beach Gardens, FL. This 3-month contract role is ideal for a detail-oriented project professional with strong cost management experience, pre-construction estimating knowledge, and the ability to manage financial aspects of complex projects. Schedule is Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm.
Job Description:
• Manage all aspects of project cost controls across the full project lifecycle including planning, design, construction, and closeout
• Partner with clients to define project scope, budgets, schedules, and resource requirements
• Develop and present cost estimates, budgets, and financial plans during pre-bid and pre-construction phases
• Support sourcing activities including RFP development, bid evaluations, and vendor selection
• Oversee project documentation to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance with client and company standards
• Track project progress, budgets, and schedules, identifying variances and implementing corrective actions
• Align cost plans with project schedules and manage cash flow forecasting and accruals
• Identify project risks and develop mitigation and contingency strategies
• Provide guidance and direction to project teams to ensure successful delivery
• Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams and external partners to drive project outcomes
• Analyze financial data and provide insights to support decision-making
Must Have Qualifications:
• 5–8 years of experience in cost management, project controls, or construction project management
• Experience developing cost estimates during pre-construction and ground-up construction projects
• Strong knowledge of change order management and project financials, including cash flow tracking
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Nice to Have Qualifications:
• Experience supporting large-scale projects (over $250M)
• Professional certifications such as PMP, CCM, or LEED AP
• Experience within commercial real estate or corporate facilities environments
