Cost Accountant

Extension is seeking a Cost Accountant for a direct hire opportunity with one of our clients located in Milwaukee, WI.

Key Objectives / Role Responsibilities

• Analyze operational costs and identify opportunities for efficiency improvements
• Maintain and enhance standard costing and inventory valuation processes
• Track and report on cost variances and provide actionable insights to leadership
• Support month-end close, including journal entries and reconciliations
• Partner cross-functionally with operations to ensure accurate cost data
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and working capital metrics
• Contribute to ERP system utilization and process improvements

Desired Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required
• 3+ years of accounting experience (manufacturing preferred)
• Cost accounting experience or strong exposure highly desired
• Strong Excel skills and ERP experience required
• Detail-oriented, hands-on, and eager to learn and grow

Salary Information

• $90k - $100k/year
