We are looking for an experienced Corporate Counsel to join our team. In this role, you will serve as a trusted legal advisor to executive leadership and the Board of Directors while overseeing the day-to-day operations of the legal function.
What You’ll Do
- Provide practical legal advice to leadership, business teams, and the Board of Directors.
- Lead the legal department and oversee legal operations, workflows, and service delivery.
- Manage outside counsel, including selection, budgeting, and performance oversight.
- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of legal documents related to lending, real estate, and business operations.
- Advise on legal and regulatory matters, including compliance, employment, vendor contracts, privacy, and litigation.
- Support distressed credit and Special Assets matters, including restructurings, foreclosures, bankruptcies, and settlements.
- Help identify and reduce legal and regulatory risk across the organization.
- Assist with board governance matters, including bylaws, resolutions, policies, and meeting support.
- Develop legal training, policies, and guidance for staff.
What We’re Looking For
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
- Active law license in Delaware, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Virginia, or West Virginia.
- At least 7 years of progressive legal experience.
- Experience supporting business, financial services, or other regulated organizations preferred.
- Strong background in commercial lending, real estate, regulatory compliance, and corporate governance is a plus.
- Excellent judgment, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.

- Regular onsite attendance is required.
- Travel to branch offices or other locations may be needed.
