Corporate Lawyer

Our respected national Am Law 100 firm is seeking a midlevel corporate associate to join its Portland office. This opportunity is ideal for an attorney who wants to build a sophisticated corporate practice within a collaborative and well-supported team environment.

About the Role

The firm is looking for an associate with a solid foundation in corporate law and at least 3 years of relevant experience. The ideal candidate will have experience in transactional corporate matters, including M&A and broader corporate advisory work, and/or experience advising public companies on securities, disclosure, governance, and related compliance matters.

This position offers meaningful exposure to complex transactions and strategic corporate matters, along with the chance to work closely with experienced attorneys serving a broad range of clients.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of relevant corporate law experience
• Background in mergers and acquisitions, corporate transactions, and general business counseling, and/or securities, public company, governance, and compliance work
• Strong drafting, analytical, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to manage matters effectively in a team-oriented practice
• Strong academic credentials
• Excellent judgment and attention to detail
