Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, manage, and develop the accounting team, fostering accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Own and drive the month-end close process to ensure timely, accurate financial reporting.
  • Oversee all aspects of inventory accounting, including valuation, reserves, reconciliations, cycle counts, and physical inventory processes.
  • Manage cost accounting activities and provide detailed analysis of COGS, labor, overhead, and manufacturing variances.
  • Partner closely with plant and operations leadership to improve inventory accuracy, costing methodologies, and financial visibility.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and company policies.
  • Prepare and review monthly financial statements, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
  • Analyze financial results and provide actionable insights to leadership on margins, profitability, and operational performance.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and annual audit activities.
  • Identify and implement process improvements across accounting and reporting workflows, including ERP and system enhancements.

What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred. Based on general knowledge.
  • Progressive accounting leadership experience, including experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong expertise in inventory accounting, standard costing, cost analysis, and COGS.
  • Proven experience leading month-end close and managing accounting staff.
  • Deep understanding of GAAP, internal controls, and financial statement preparation.
  • Strong business partnership skills with the ability to work cross-functionally with operations, supply chain, and executive leadership.
  • ERP system experience and advanced Excel skills required; experience with manufacturing systems is highly preferred
