Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for an Underwriting Contract Specialist located in Union City, TN.

This role sits at the intersection of underwriting and contract execution. You’ll be responsible for reviewing incoming deals, validating deal structure, and ensuring contracts meet internal risk standards before funding. You will play a key role in protecting the portfolio by identifying inconsistencies, verifying documentation, and making sure every deal is clean, compliant, and fundable.

Day-to-day, you’ll review applications and supporting documents, assess risk factors, confirm deal accuracy (pricing, terms, customer info, collateral), and finalize contracts for funding. You’ll work closely with dealers, sales, and internal teams to resolve issues quickly and keep deals moving without sacrificing quality. This job is an our "Late Start" Shift of 11-7 M-F, 12-5 on Saturday.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and underwrite incoming contracts to ensure they meet company risk and approval guidelines
  • Validate accuracy of deal structure including customer information, payment terms, and collateral details
  • Identify red flags, inconsistencies, or missing documentation prior to funding
  • Ensure contracts are fully executed, compliant, and audit-ready
  • Communicate directly with dealers to correct deal issues and gather required information
  • Maintain clean, organized, and detailed contract files within internal systems
  • Collaborate with underwriting, collections, and funding teams to support portfolio performance
  • Assist in refining underwriting processes and improving deal flow efficiency

Qualifications

  • Experience in underwriting, contract review, or finance-related roles preferred
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to assess risk and spot issues quickly
  • High attention to detail
  • Solid understanding of contract structure and financial terms
  • Strong communication skills, especially when working with dealers to fix problems fast
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment without losing accuracy
  • Organized, process-driven, and comfortable making judgment calls within guidelines
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or related field preferred
