The Construction Quality Assurance/ Quality Control Manager position will be responsible for leading the Project Quality Assurance Program, managing Quality staff, and coordinating activities to report to project and client leadership.

The Quality Assurance / Quality Control (QA/QC) Manager is responsible for the quality and compliance inspection and review of all contractor products and equipment installed and review of completed data packages post-installation. 

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Establish, implement and maintain a Quality Assurance Program to manage, control, document and ensure that all work complies with the requirements of contract documents
  • Manage on-site, full-time Quality Staff
  • Review submittals (product data, shop drawings, etc.) for compliance with contract documents
  • Verify all material and equipment meet specified quality and contractual requirements and are received, handled, and stored correctly.
  • Coordinate Subcontractors and Suppliers work to certify appropriate quality programs are followed
  • Schedule special inspections as required
  • Accompany personnel for off-site inspections and testing
  • Develop and implement Inspection and Testing Plans to produce objective evidence that structures, systems, components or services meet the requirements of the contract documents
  • Plan, manage, perform, record and follow up as needed on all required inspections and tests
  • Establish and maintain construction process controls to ensure work complies with contract documents and is performed by qualified personnel
  • Maintain measuring and testing equipment including proper storage, identification, and calibration
  • Identify all nonconformities, including those entered on the Daily Quality Reports, and document in a Nonconforming Report (NCR) and a Log, to identify, correct, document and control them
  • Perform root cause analysis to preclude repeated failures resulting from the same or similar cases and recommend corrective action
  • Identify all types of quality records (submittals, procedures, QWPs, etc.) as evidence that all activities comply with the requirements
  • Perform internal audits to assess compliance with the requirements of the Quality Assurance Program and contract documents
  • Provide training for Quality Staff, Management Teams, and Field Personnel
  • Perform other duties as required
