Position Overview:

We're looking for a seasoned Construction Manager (Owners Representative) to represent SDG and our third-party clients on-site, ensuring complex entertainment and hospitality projects are delivered with the highest quality—on time and on budget.


As the go-to person on site, you'll be the daily face of the company and the primary liaison for all external stakeholders. This is a high-visibility role based on-site in Orange County for a significant large project where you'll be working from the project trailer alongside a collaborative and driven team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead construction management representing the Owner on large, complex commercial project from the ground up
  • Be fully embedded on-site, overseeing every detail of day-to-day operations
  • Provide consistent field guidance and support to ensure alignment with project goals
  • Work closely with the Client’s operational team to meet and exceed expectations
  • Serve as a trusted partner to client personnel—offering high-touch communication, problem-solving, and professionalism
  • Conduct thorough constructability reviews and recommend value-engineering solutions
  • Prepare bid packages, detailed scopes of work, and solicit vendor proposals
  • Chair and coordinate meetings with the project team, owners, and contractors
  • Oversee and guide pre-construction services and offer valuable input during planning phases
  • Review and approve contractor schedules, QC plans, and project status reports
  • Participate in daily contractor meetings to maintain schedule momentum
  • Approve and manage contractor pay applications and change orders
  • Ensure full compliance with contractual requirements and document control processes
  • Monitor and enforce the Contractor’s Site Logistics Plan
  • Serve as the bridge between the contractor, design team, and ownership to maintain clear communication and alignment

What You Bring (Qualifications):

  • 15–20 years of construction management experience, specifically in commercial, high-profile projects
  • Background hospitality, theme parks, and entertainment construction a plus
  • 4 Year College Degree
  • Experience managing top-tier general contractors and navigating union environments
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite: Outlook, Excel, Word, Project, and PowerPoint
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor and lead junior staff
