Our client is seeking a Construction Manager with Power Plant experience to lead construction activities, including monitoring labor, materials, and equipment, and tracking against schedule. This is a 9-month contract assignment, with a generous hourly pay rate and a daily per diem.

Day Shift Work Schedule: You will work 5x10s while setting up equipment and will move to 6x10s once demo work ramps up.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work directly with plant owners and customer representatives to coordinate outages, shutdowns, inspections, and project milestones.
  • Manage budgets, labor hours, and schedules to keep the project on target
  • Supervise field crews and subcontractors working on boiler, steam-generation, emissions-control, electrical, or other power plant equipment.
  • Plan and coordinate daily work activities, schedules, manpower, and equipment needs.
  • Enforce safety procedures and conduct daily safety meetings or job hazard analyses. Safety is usually the top priority on power plant projects.
  • Monitor quality of installation and construction work to ensure it meets customer and engineering specifications.
  • Track project progress, solve field problems, and report status to project managers and company leadership.
