A highly regarded California-based law firm is seeking a California-admitted litigator to join its Construction Litigation practice in Oakland. This is a hybrid role.
Practice Focus
Attorneys in this role can expect to work on a wide range of complex construction and facilities-related disputes, including:
- Construction defect and delay claims;
- Breach of contract, indemnity, and warranty disputes;
- Public works and infrastructure project disputes;
- Payment and performance bond claims;
- Claims involving developers, contractors, subcontractors, architects, engineers, and public entities; and
- Risk management, claims avoidance, and pre-litigation counseling related to construction projects.
The practice involves all phases of litigation, from early case assessment through discovery, depositions, motion practice, mediation, and trial.
Qualifications
- Admission to the California Bar;
- Significant experience handling complex litigation matters (ideally 3+ years of experience);
- Experience with (or a demonstrated interest in) construction-related disputes; and
- Excellent legal writing and research skills.
