Construction Litigation Associate Attorney

Construction Litigation Associate | Florida (Hybrid, Fort Lauderdale)

A respected, growth-focused law firm with a strong Florida presence is actively seeking a mid-level Construction Litigation Associate to join its expanding construction practice. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney who enjoys hands-on litigation work and wants meaningful responsibility in a trial-oriented environment.

About the Role

This position supports a busy construction litigation team representing owners, contractors, developers, and construction professionals across the full lifecycle of disputes. Matters include bid protests, claim preparation and negotiation, mediations, arbitrations, trials, and appeals. Due to sustained demand and a growing pipeline of work, the team is adding a key associate to support continued expansion. Associates in this group benefit from direct partner interaction, substantive courtroom exposure, and the chance to play a visible role on complex matters rather than being siloed into narrow tasks.

Ideal Background

The ideal candidate will bring 4 to 6 years of complex litigation experience, with a strong foundation in motion practice and discovery. Construction litigation experience is strongly preferred, particularly exposure to delay and disruption claims, payment disputes, and breach of contract matters.

Key qualifications include:

  • Taking and defending depositions
  • Drafting and arguing dispositive motions
  • Preparing for mediations, arbitrations, and trial
  • Experience with e-discovery and managing complex discovery
  • Admission to the Florida Bar (required)

Why This Opportunity Stands Out

  • Trial-focused construction litigation practice
  • Collaborative, partner-driven team environment
  • Significant responsibility and hands-on experience
  • Strong mentorship with meaningful client exposure
  • Mid-sized firm culture offering flexibility without sacrificing sophistication
