Job Description

We are seeking a diligent and experienced Construction Inspector who will work closely with the project management team, acting almost as an Assistant Hands-on Project Manager. The role involves performing construction inspections at various sites across Tinker Air Force Base, conducting facility assessments for proactive maintenance, and ensuring the quality of contractor work.

Responsibilities

• Conduct construction inspections on various sites at Tinker Air Force Base.
• Perform assessments for proactive facility maintenance on chillers, transformers, and civil advancements.
• Read and interpret construction plans, project specifications, testing reports, schedules, and other relevant documents.
• Ensure that contractor work meets contract requirements and address any discrepancies with the client's representative or Project Manager.

Essential Skills

• Experience in project management and construction inspection.
• Proficiency in quality control and assurance.
• Ability to read schematics and blueprints.
• 4+ years of experience in construction management.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• High level of trades knowledge.
• Experience in cradle-to-grave construction processes.
• Strong skills in subcontractor management and commercial construction.

Work Environment

The role involves working both in an office and on construction sites at Tinker Air Force Base. The standard working hours are Monday to Friday, from 7 AM to 4 PM, subject to change based on project needs. The position offers exposure to Tinker and Corps personnel, with visibility on major projects at Tinker. Benefits include 80 hours of paid time off and 11 holidays.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Oklahoma City, OK.

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $32.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Oklahoma City,OK.
