About the Role
They are seeking a Commercial Roofing & Construction Estimator to support preconstruction efforts and help drive accurate, competitive bids.
Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for commercial roofing, renovation, and construction projects
- Review drawings, specifications, and bid documents
- Perform quantity takeoffs for roofing and general construction scopes
- Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier pricing
- Collaborate with project managers and field teams during preconstruction
- Identify value engineering opportunities and cost-saving strategies
- Assist with bid submissions, proposals, and scope reviews
- Maintain relationships with subcontractors, vendors, and clients
Qualifications
- Must have commercial roofing experience (hands-on or estimating)
- Experience estimating commercial construction and/or renovation projects strongly preferred
- 2+ years (Junior) or 5+ years (Senior) estimating experience
- Strong knowledge of roofing systems (TPO, EPDM, metal, modified bitumen, etc.)
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specs
- Proficiency with estimating software and Excel
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and team collaboration
