Job Title: General Laborer

Job Description

We are seeking dedicated general laborers to join our team at a concrete precast facility. In this role, you will utilize hand and power tools, read tape measures, and engage in tasks such as cutting and tying rebar, forming concrete structures, pouring concrete, greasing forms, and painting. You will also be responsible for maintaining cleanliness in the precast production area. This position requires comfort with outdoor work and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly. Starting pay is $17.50/hr.

Responsibilities

• Utilize hand and power tools for various tasks.
• Read and interpret measurements from tape measures.
• Cut and tie rebar, and form concrete structures.
• Pour concrete, grease forms, and apply paint as needed.
• Clean and maintain the precast production area.
• Work outdoors and manage tasks in various weather conditions.

Essential Skills

• Experience in construction, landscaping, concrete, or framing work.
• A minimum of 1 year working outdoors in a labor position.
• Proficiency in using and reading tape measures.
• At least 1 year of experience with hand and power tools.
• Experience in concrete, precast, concrete finishing, or carpentry.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Previous experience in concrete or precast environments.
• Experience in landscaping, construction, or any outdoor work involving hand and power tools.

Work Environment

The work schedule requires flexibility, typically Monday through Friday from 6 am to 6:30 pm, with potential variations in start and end times. Work will continue until tasks are completed, and weekend work is mandatory if necessary. The facility features an open bay/outdoor environment with a hanger-style covering and fans, requiring comfort with working in the elements.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Jacksonville, FL.

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Jacksonville,FL.
