Computer Numerical Control Programmer

Overview

An established manufacturing organization is seeking an experienced CNC Programmer to join their team. The CNC Programmer will be responsible for developing and optimizing CNC programs to support production operations and ensure precision machining of metal components.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, edit, and optimize CNC programs for machining operations
• Work with machining teams to ensure accurate setup and efficient production
• Utilize CAM software to generate tool paths and machine instructions
• Troubleshoot programming issues and improve machining processes
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to maintain quality standards
• Maintain documentation for programs and machining procedures

Required Skills & Experience

• Experience programming CNC machines in a manufacturing environment
• Experience with GibbsCAM preferred
• Experience with other CAM software such as Mastercam is also acceptable
• Strong understanding of machining processes and tooling
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications

Preferred Qualifications

• Engineering degree or prior engineering experience (may justify higher salary)
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work collaboratively with shop floor teams
