Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled CNC Lathe Machinist who can independently set up and operate CNC equipment with minimal supervision. This role is ideal for a self-motivated machinist who thrives in a job shop environment working on a variety of parts and materials.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform full machine setups, including tooling, offsets, and first-piece verification
- Operate CNC lathes to produce precision parts to print specifications
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions
- Inspect finished parts using measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges, etc.)
- Maintain tight tolerances and high-quality standards
- Troubleshoot machining issues and improve efficiency
- Keep work area clean and organized; follow all safety procedures
Qualifications
- 5+ years of CNC machining experience (lathe-focused required)
- Strong setup experience (not just operator-level)
- Ability to read and understand blueprints and GD&T
- Familiarity with common materials (steel, aluminum, stainless, etc.)
- Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work independently
Schedule
- Monday–Thursday: 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM (4-day work week)
- Optional overtime available on Fridays
