Computer Aided Design Drafter

We are hiring for a great construction company! They are seeking a CAD Drafter to assist with the mapping of aerial and underground utility lines. This is a full time contract job opportunity, which is expected to last 1 year. This role requires you to be in office 5 days a week.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, due to utilization within course work or through employment.
• Ability to effectively communicate with others.

Experience Desired (NOT Required)

• Experience reading blueprints, conduit prints and floor plans.
• Experience reading permits and setting up traffic control.
• Two years of experience.
• Base-mapping, GIS and layering, fundamental knowledge of Outside Plant, running line, conduit and cable design for copper, fiber optics, coax, manholes, hand holes, Make-Ready Engineering and poles (aerial and underground).
• Site surveys, translating field notes to develop and update conduit/ cable engineering design drawings in AutoCAD.

Will provide on-the-job training.
