Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Compounding Pharmacist role based in Nashville, TN. The Compounding Pharmacist will be responsible for preparing sterile and non-sterile compounded medications in accordance with prescriptions, USP guidelines, and internal quality standards. Daily responsibilities include verifying prescriptions, performing calculations, supervising and collaborating with pharmacy technicians, and ensuring accurate labeling, documentation, and record-keeping. The role involves maintaining compliance with federal and state regulations, participating in quality assurance and environmental monitoring procedures, and supporting inventory management for ingredients, supplies, and equipment. The Compounding Pharmacist will also communicate with prescribers and clinical partners to clarify orders, provide clinical insight on formulations, and support safe, effective, and timely patient care.


Qualifications

  • Licensed Pharmacist (PharmD or BS in Pharmacy) in good standing, with active or eligible licensure in Tennessee and experience or training in sterile and non-sterile compounding.
  • Strong knowledge of compounding standards and regulations (e.g., USP <795>, USP <797>, USP <800>), medication safety principles, and pharmacy law across applicable jurisdictions.
  • Demonstrated experience in aseptic technique, methodical workflow in a cleanroom or compounding environment, and safe handling of hazardous and non-hazardous medications.
  • Detail-oriented approach to prescription verification, dosage calculations, documentation, and quality assurance processes in a high-compliance setting.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with pharmacy technicians, clinicians, and operations staff, including comfort interacting with telehealth and remote care partners.
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities to handle multiple prescriptions, prioritize tasks, and consistently meet turnaround time expectations.
  • Comfort with pharmacy software systems, electronic health records, and technology-enabled workflows supporting scalable, efficient operations.
  • Commitment to continuous learning in therapeutic areas such as hormone optimization, metabolic health, and longevity, with a focus on evidence-based practice.
