Our client is seeking a Compliance Engineer to ensure their innovative, energy-efficient products meet the highest safety and performance standards. In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with Product Engineering teams and external certification bodies to secure national and international safety and efficiency certifications. You’ll be a key player in bridging design innovation with compliance excellence.
Projects You’ll Work On
- Manage multiple product certification projects simultaneously overseeing every stage from application through agency approval.
- Evaluate new and existing products against global safety, performance, and efficiency standards.
- Develop certification test plans and coordinate with internal and third-party testing labs.
- Create and maintain certification documentation, submittals, and detailed reports.
- Lead audits and reviews of product certifications, ensuring ongoing compliance.
- Partner with engineering teams to interpret standards, optimize designs, and align testing processes.
- Contribute to the development of new testing protocols and continuous improvement initiatives.
What Experience You Should Bring
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related discipline) or 8+ years of equivalent industry experience.
- Technical Acumen: Hands-on understanding of mechanical or electrical systems, with experience in efficiency and safety testing.
- Industry Background: Experience in HVAC, home appliance, or related manufacturing environments preferred.
- Problem Solving: Skilled in root-cause analysis and troubleshooting complex test setups.
- Project Management: Proven ability to balance multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Communication: Excellent technical writing and interpersonal skills, with the ability to summarize findings clearly.
- Software: Strong proficiency in MS Office Suite and a quick learner of new technical tools.
- Personal Attributes: Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and capable of both independent and team-based work.
