Compliance Analyst – Asset Management

Location: Chicago, IL (In‑Office)


LHH is seeking a Compliance Analyst to join a compliance team and support client reporting and ongoing compliance functions. The firm manages global equity portfolios for institutional investors and commingled investment funds using a proprietary quantitative investment approach and oversees significant assets under management.

Position Overview

This role reports directly to the Chief Compliance Officer and offers the opportunity to work on a lean, collaborative compliance team. The position provides cross‑functional exposure, partnering closely with legal and other internal teams across a range of regulatory and compliance matters.


Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and manage reporting for mutual fund and other advisory clients
  • Assist with regulatory filings for the firm and mutual fund clients
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with substantial shareholder rules
  • Maintain compliance documentation, including the Compliance Manual, Code of Ethics, and related procedures such as trade pre‑clearance
  • Prepare responses to prospective client RFPs
  • Support ongoing compliance monitoring, testing, and internal controls


Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in asset management, investment advisory, or a related field


Skills & Attributes

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly detail‑oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Self‑starter with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities
  • Familiarity with the Investment Company Act and Investment Advisers Act
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications


Work Arrangement

This position requires working in‑office at the firm’s downtown Chicago headquarters.


Compensation & Benefits

The role offers competitive compensation commensurate with experience ($60,000-$100,000/year), along with a comprehensive benefits package that includes health coverage paid sick leave where applicable by state law, retirement benefits, and a 401(k) plan with company match.
