The Community Engagement Specialist is responsible for the design, execution, and continuous improvement of community engagement programs for Avantax and the Cetera Tax Channel. This role supports strategic growth and advisor experience objectives through the planning and delivery of regional meetings, advisor councils, surveys, and continuing education programs, with a strong focus on operational excellence, measurable outcomes, and return on investment.


What you will do:


· Lead project management for multiple rounds of Amplify Regional Meetings annually, including planning, execution, follow‑up, materials development, registration sites, communications, on‑site RGT training and delivery.

· Collaborate with channel and community leadership to align engagement programming with annual strategy and business objectives.

· Manage advisor council meeting logistics, content coordination, and execution for both virtual and in‑person meetings.

· Own end‑to‑end survey administration for community and channel initiatives, including intake, design, deployment, analysis, and reporting of insights and action commitments.

· Partner with Regional Growth Teams on Voice of the Community (VoC) follow‑up efforts, including analysis of dissatisfaction drivers and development of improvement commitments.

· Maintain and report program metrics to evaluate effectiveness, identify trends, and inform ongoing iteration and improvement.

· Manage continuing education sponsorship renewals, auditing, reporting, and compliance tracking for applicable meetings and programs.

· Support webinar production, hosting, and reporting for community engagement initiatives.

· Provide general support for community engagement initiatives, including program design, marketing, and advisor communications.

· Regularly evaluate program spend against outcomes to ensure strong return on investment.

· Continuously improve processes, tools, and workflows related to engagement programming.

· Perform other duties as assigned in support of community and channel priorities.


What you need to have:


· Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.

· Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders and senior leaders.

· Analytical skills to interpret feedback, survey data, and program metrics and translate insights into action.

· Strong written and verbal communication skills for advisor-facing and internal communications.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools; experience with survey platforms such as Qualtrics preferred.

· Experience supporting event planning, meetings, webinars, or continuing education program.


· Bachelor’s degree required.

· Experience in financial services or a related industry preferred.

· Event planning, survey administration, or community engagement experience preferred.


Travel Requirements: Minimum 25%


Compensation:

The base annual salary range for this role is $ 61000 to $91,000, plus a competitive performance-based bonus. Base annual salary depends on a wide array of factors, including but not limited to skill set, years and depth of experience, certifications, and location. Base annual salary may also differ significantly due to geography and cost of labor considerations.
