A highly respected law firm client is expanding its transactional team and actively seeking an experienced Commercial Real Estate Paralegal to join their Nashville office. Key Responsibilities

  • Manage commercial real estate transactions from intake through post-closing
  • Review and analyze title commitments, exceptions, vesting, and recorded documents
  • Draft title and survey objection letters; track issue resolution through closing
  • Order and review ALTA/NSPS surveys; identify and resolve title/survey discrepancies
  • Coordinate title insurance policies, endorsements, and final issuance
  • Prepare and assemble closing documents including deeds, assignments, affidavits, and settlement statements
  • Oversee due diligence: UCC, lien, judgment, bankruptcy, and entity searches
  • Manage transaction timelines, checklists, and closing logistics
  • Coordinate escrow, wire transfers, recording, and post-closing deliverables
  • Compile electronic and physical closing binders
  • Support borrower and lender-side financing transactions
  • Serve as a key point of contact for clients, title companies, lenders, and opposing counsel


Qualifications

  • 5+ years of commercial real estate paralegal experience (law firm experience preferred)
  • Strong expertise in title and survey review, including ALTA/NSPS surveys
  • Proven ability to independently manage transactions from start to finish
  • Knowledge of commercial closings, escrow processes, recording, and post-closing procedures
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deals
  • Excellent communication skills with a professional, client-facing approach
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat


Preferred Experience

  • Multi-state transaction exposure
  • Construction loan or development project experience
  • Familiarity with SoftPro, Resware, or similar platforms
  • Notary (or willingness to obtain)
  • Experience in hospitality, multifamily, industrial, or mixed-use projects
