The role
We are hiring a Litigation Associate with 2–3 years of commercial litigation experience who has exceptional aptitude, strong writing skills, and real personal drive for growth. This is a high-expectation role with close mentorship and meaningful client responsibility.
You’ll help run complex matters from early strategy through discovery, depositions, hearings, mediation, and (when needed) trial. You will be trusted early, and you will be expected to deliver.
What you’ll do
- Draft and argue (as appropriate) dispositive and non-dispositive motions, responses, and replies
- Take ownership of discrete workstreams on matters (discovery disputes, briefing projects, deposition prep, damages/fact development)
- Develop case chronologies, fact investigations, and key-document syntheses to support strategic decisions
- Prepare outlines for depositions and hearings; assist with witness prep and exhibit strategy
- Draft discovery requests/responses and meet-and-confer correspondence; manage discovery strategy in coordination with the lead lawyer
- Support trial preparation, including theme development, demonstratives, exhibit organization, and witness files
- Use (and help refine) the firm’s templates, checklists, and technology-forward workflows, including AI-assisted tools for first-pass drafting and organization—under clear quality-control rules
What we’re looking for
Required
- 2–3 years of experience in commercial litigation (law firm or sophisticated litigation environment)
- Excellent legal writing and attention to detail
- Strong judgment and ability to manage priorities under deadlines
- Ownership mindset: you follow through and close loops
- Professionalism with clients, opposing counsel, and courts
Strongly preferred
- Meaningful experience with discovery, depositions, and contested hearings
- Texas state court experience (and/or federal court exposure)
- Comfort working in a lean environment with direct partner contact and high responsibility
- Interest in modern legal tech and process improvement (including thoughtful, disciplined use of AI tools)

Compensation
Competitive with Big Law, commensurate with experience, with focus on performance-based bonuses. (Details discussed with candidates.)
