Commercial Litigation Associate

Soundview Legal Recruiting is assisting an AmLaw 50 firm in its search for an experienced Commercial Litigation Associate in its San Francisco office.

The firm's Commercial Litigation Practice Group handles a broad range of complex matters for technology and healthcare companies, including trade secret disputes, class actions, intellectual property and technology disputes, corporate governance issues, M&A-related claims, and government enforcement matters. The ideal candidate is a persuasive legal writer and oral advocate with experience handling complex litigation in state and federal courts.

The Role:

• Conducting and managing written and document discovery
• Researching and drafting pleadings, motions, and other court filings
• Conducting and defending depositions
• Preparing witnesses for testimony
• Appearing for status conferences and arguing motions in state and federal court
• Participating in settlement conferences, negotiations, and trial preparation

Requirements:

• 3–4 years of complex commercial litigation experience
• Persuasive legal writing and research skills are a must
• Deposition experience is required; motion argument and trial preparation experience is a plus!
• Top academic credentials necessary; active California Bar membership required
