CNC Mill Operator / CNC Machinist (Medical Device Manufacturing)

This is a great opportunity for experienced CNC Mill Operators, CNC Machinists, or trade‑school graduates who want to work on challenging parts, expand their skills, and grow with a company investing heavily in advanced machining.

What You’ll Do
  • Operate CNC milling machines (vertical and horizontal), including Kitamura, Haas, and similar equipment
  • Support small- to medium‑volume production and prototype builds
  • Make machine edits, tool changes, and offsets to keep jobs running efficiently
  • Set up tooling, fixtures, and cutting strategies to produce consistent, high‑quality parts
  • Read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, and technical drawings
  • Perform in‑process inspections to ensure parts meet tight tolerance and quality standards
  • Use precision measuring tools and shop math to verify dimensions
  • Document machining or tooling issues and communicate with leadership for continuous improvement
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safety‑focused work area aligned with medical manufacturing standards
What We’re Looking For
  • 2+ years of CNC machining or operation experience
  • OR a recent school degree in machining/CNC
  • Hands‑on experience with CNC mills (vertical and/or horizontal)
  • Ability to perform tool changes and basic machine edits
  • Comfortable reading blueprints and working to tight tolerances
  • Experience with Haas, Kitamura, or similar CNC milling platforms
  • Strong attention to detail, quality, and documentation
  • Comfortable working on both prototype and production jobs
Nice to Have (Not Required)
  • Experience in medical device, aerospace, or other regulated industries
  • Experience optimizing tooling, feeds/speeds, and fixturing
  • Exposure to GD&T and tight‑tolerance inspection
  • Interest in advancing toward setup, programming, or lead roles

You’ll work in a clean, modern, medical‑grade manufacturing facility with a large amount of new CNC equipment and expanded floor space. The shop is organized, climate‑controlled, and designed for precision work. Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lino Lakes, MN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $33.00/hr.
