CNC Setup OperatorPay Rate: $25 - $28/hr DOESchedule: 5am to 4:30pm, M-F, Some Saturdays as required,OT: Averages 10+ hrs/weekLocation: Spring, TX 77388Overview:Responsible for preparing and setting up CNC machines, such as CNC lathes and milling machines, to produce precision components according to detailed specifications. CNC Programing is not required. Verifies that CNC machines are properly setup for the production of API threads. Perform design validation inspections on thread elements to verify complianceDuties and Responsibilities:- Read blueprint, job order & tooling instructions for production requirements
- Setup CNC/Threading machine for production
- Machine parts to required specifications
- Ability to perform threading of coupling material to specified requirements
- Suggest machining methods to improve job efficiency
- Visibly inspect and monitor carbide inserts
- Replace worn tooling as needed
- Must be able to understand various Quality plans
- Inspect machined parts to verify conformance to specifications
- Ability to perform measurement & visual inspection of threads
- Follow 1st piece inspection procedure
- Follow established safety procedures
- Keep work area clean & safe
- Other duties as required by management Knowledge of inspection equipment
Requirements:- Proven experience operating and setting up CNC machinery in a manufacturing environment
- Proficient in blueprint reading and interpretation of technical drawings and mechanical drawings
- At least 3 years CNC machine experience
- Experience machining API threads
- Ability to use precision measuring instruments including calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, dial indicators, and coordinate measuring machines.
- Ability to perform first article inspection according to required specifications
- Ability to setup and monitor multiple CNC machines
- Ability to work OT on regular basis
Compensation / Pay Rate (Up to): $25.00 - $28.00 Per Hour
