CNC Operator/Machinist - 2nd Shift - Asheville
Compensation: Up to $19.00/hr.
Shift/Working Hours:2nd Shift available: 3:00 pm to 1:30 am
About the role:
PRIDESTAFF is partnering with a manufacturing company located in Asheville to recruit for a CNC Operator/Machinist. This role is responsible for producing machined parts by programming, setting up, and operating a computer numerical control (CNC) machine, while maintaining quality and safety standards.
What you will do:Set up and operate machines such as lathes, mills, grinders, and saws.
Read and interpret drawings and specifications, and machine materials to drawing specifications.
Perform in-process inspections, calculating requirements including basic math, geometry, and trigonometry.
Select, align, and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials on machines.
Document actions by completing production and quality logs.
Maintain safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.

Minimum of 1 year experience in machining or certification, OR a minimum of 3 years machine operating experience.
Strong mechanical aptitude.
Ability to read and understand blueprints.
Must be able to walk/stand throughout an eight to ten-hour day and be able to consistently lift 50 lbs.
Training Provided: Full, hands-on training is provided. Experience is not necessary, as training is provided.
