The OHSU Division of Hospital Medicine’s mission is, “To serve, connect, and educate in order to heal, comfort, and empower”and we are seeking others who share these values to join our team as we grow. OHSU is adding a large inpatient tower with ~125additionalbeds set to open in April 2026 and we are excited to continue to build the team.

Our faculty members are all hospitalists: clinicians whose primary professional focus is the general medical care of hospitalized patients and pre-operative medical consultation. Their activities include direct patient care teaching, research, and leadership related to hospital medicine.

Our facultystriveto provide quality, compassionate and evidence-based patient centered care.We are engaged in service,researchand education throughout the institution. We are closely affiliated with the OHSU Internal Medicine Residency Program, and our faculty activelyparticipatein multiple ways through the OHSU School of Medicine MD Program including classroom-based learning and 3rd/4th year clinical experiences.

Function/Duties of Position

​Serve as a member of the inpatient medicine care team, responsible for the admission, management, and discharge of hospitalized patients. Provide medical consultations and collaborate in co-management with oncology and other specialty services. Deliver consistent overnight coverage for oncology, leukemia, transplant, and cell/immunotherapy patients. A Hematologic Malignancies (HemMalig) attending physician is available by phone for clinical support, and a Hematology/Oncology fellow will come in to assist with emergencies (e.g., new leukemia admissions).

There may be opportunities to engage in teaching residentsand medical students. In addition to a broad range of clinical duties, you willparticipatein relevant quality review and process improvement.

​This position is a Nocturnist role and includes only night shifts to typically consist of 7PM-7AM and a 7dayson/11 days off schedule, with some flexibility.

Required Qualifications

  • MD/DO degree (or equivalent)
  • ​Board certification or board eligibility isrequired
  • ​Demonstrated commitment to educational excellence in clinical setting isrequired
  • ​Advanced training in medical education is highly desirable​
