Job Title: Clean Room Assembler (Medical Device Assembler – 1st Shift)

Job Description

Join a cutting-edge medical device manufacturer as a Clean Room Assembler on the first shift, where you will build advanced urinary catheters and related components in a highly controlled environment. You will work with printed circuit board assemblies, catheters, and small precision parts under a microscope, ensuring every product meets strict quality and safety standards. This role offers steady daytime hours from 5:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., with overtime available after the shift as needed.

5:30am-2pm OT as needed after shift (voluntary as of now but could change)

Pay: $22 - $25 per hour

Responsibilities

  • Assemble printed circuit board assemblies (PCB-A) and small components in a clean room environment while following established procedures.
  • Assemble urinary catheters and related medical devices under a microscope to achieve high precision and consistent quality.
  • Follow all clean room protocols and guidelines to maintain a sterile, contamination-free work area.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions to perform accurate assembly tasks.
  • Inspect finished products and subassemblies to verify they meet defined quality and performance standards.
  • Package completed medical devices and components according to specifications and cleanliness requirements.
  • Use glue, epoxies, and other bonding materials as required for assembly, following safety and handling guidelines.
  • Support laser welding operations as needed by preparing parts, handling components, or assisting with related assembly steps.
  • Connect devices via Bluetooth and run basic tests using software, following on-screen instructions and documented procedures.
  • Document work as required, including recording inspection results or production data in paper or electronic systems.
  • Collaborate with team members to maintain an efficient workflow and help the team meet daily production and quality goals.
  • Work independently at your workstation while communicating effectively with the small team to resolve issues and improve processes.
  • Maintain tools, microscopes, and workstations in clean, organized condition and report any equipment issues promptly.

Essential Skills

  • At least 2 years of experience in medical device assembly or a closely related assembly environment.
  • Proven ability to assemble products in a clean room environment while adhering to strict cleanliness and contamination control guidelines.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and written work instructions.
  • Strong attention to detail with a consistent commitment to product quality and accuracy.
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination and fine manual dexterity for working with very small parts under a microscope.
  • Comfort working with microscopes for extended periods using modern, ergonomic equipment.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a small, close-knit team.
  • Basic computer skills and confidence using software, including the ability to follow instructions on a screen.
  • Ability to connect devices via Bluetooth and run simple software-based tests after training.
  • Willingness and ability to follow all clean room, safety, and quality procedures without exception.
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality for a 1st shift schedule (5:30 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.), with openness to overtime as needed.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Previous experience assembling urinary catheters or other invasive medical devices.
  • Hands-on experience working with glue, epoxies, or other adhesives in a production or assembly environment.
  • Exposure to laser welding processes in a manufacturing or assembly setting.
  • Prior clean room certification or formal training in clean room practices.
  • Experience with medical device packaging and labeling requirements.
  • Familiarity with quality inspection techniques for medical devices or other regulated products.
  • Comfort using basic production documentation systems, whether paper-based or electronic.
  • Ability to adapt in a growing team environment and contribute ideas for process improvements.

Work Environment

This role is based in a clean room environment with a small team of approximately six people, with plans to grow over time. You will work on the first shift from 5:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., with overtime available after the shift as needed. Workstations are arranged close to each other, supporting easy communication and collaboration while maintaining clean room discipline. You may sit or stand at your station depending on preference and task requirements. The environment uses modern microscopes designed to be easier on the eyes, along with computers and software for Bluetooth device testing. Clean room attire and adherence to all gowning and cleanliness procedures are required at all times while in the controlled area.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.00/hr.
