Job Description

The Product Assembler works on a new, multi-station product line, completing several steps of the assembly process using hand and power tools. This role involves assembling components, performing basic electrical tasks, testing finished products, and preparing completed units for packaging and shipment in a clean, climate-controlled manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Work at one of six stations on the new product line, completing 2–3 defined steps in the assembly process.
  • Assemble mechanical and electrical components by fitting and securing parts according to established procedures.
  • Use a drill and torque wrench to fasten and secure components to specified standards.
  • Interpret and follow blueprints, schematics, and work instructions to complete assemblies accurately.
  • Perform basic electrical assembly tasks, including wiring, crimping, and soldering when required.
  • Hook up completed assemblies at the final station for go/no-go testing to verify proper operation.
  • Identify and report any defects, failures, or issues discovered during testing or assembly.
  • Package and palletize completed products after they pass testing, ensuring they are ready for shipment.
  • Lift and handle items up to 20 pounds as part of the assembly and packaging process.
  • Use an iPad or similar device to navigate work instructions, record production data, or track workflow.
  • Stand and move along the production line for 8–10 hours per shift while maintaining productivity and quality.
  • Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area within the assembly line.

Essential Skills

  • At least 1 year of assembly experience in a manufacturing or similar environment.
  • At least 1 year of experience using a drill or torque wrench in a production or hands-on setting.
  • Ability to read and follow blueprints and electrical schematics.
  • Experience with electrical assembly, including wiring, crimping, and soldering.
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks while standing for 8–10 hours per day.
  • Ability to navigate and use an iPad or similar tablet for work-related tasks.
  • Capability to safely lift and handle items up to 20 pounds.
  • Attention to detail and ability to follow standardized work instructions and testing procedures.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience working on multi-station or line-based assembly processes.
  • Familiarity with go/no-go testing procedures for finished products.
  • Comfort working with both mechanical and basic electrical components.
  • Strong focus on quality, organization, and cleanliness in the work area.

Work Environment

The site features a state-of-the-art cafeteria, and soda and water are available at no cost to employees. The position is primarily standing and line-based, requiring you to be on your feet for most of the 8–10 hour shift. The dress code includes jeans, a t-shirt without obscene graphics, and steel-toe boots to meet safety and appearance standards on the production floor.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
