We’re Hiring: Claims Examiner | Whittier, CA (Onsite)
We are seeking an experienced Claims Examiner to join a healthcare team in Whittier, CA. This is a great opportunity for candidates with strong claims adjudication experience in a managed care environment.
Location: Whittier, CA 90601
Start Date: April 27, 2026
Duration: 13 Weeks
Pay Rate: $29–$30/hour
Shift: Monday–Friday | 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Interview Process: Onsite interview required
Key Requirements:
- Minimum 2+ years of claims adjudication experience (ambulatory, acute care, HMO, or IPA setting)
- Proven experience with claims reimbursement
- Experience processing laboratory claims
- Strong understanding of DOFR (Division of Financial Responsibility)
- Knowledge of CPT, ICD coding, and medical terminology
- Familiarity with commercial, Medicare, and Medi-Cal claims guidelines
- Ability to interpret provider contracts and reimbursement terms
Education:
- High School Diploma, GED, or higher education required (must be verifiable)
Additional Skills:
- Knowledge of payment methodologies (Professional, Hospital, Skilled Nursing Facility, Ancillary Services)
- Understanding of compliance requirements in claims processing
- Ability to identify non-contracted providers for Letter of Agreement consideration
- Strong data entry and system navigation skills
