Job Description

The Rework Technician will utilize soldering equipment to rework components on circuit boards, ensuring they meet quality standards. This role involves testing for electrical continuity, inspecting PCBs for conformance with IPC-A-610 standards, and documenting quality issues. Collaboration with the engineering group is essential for addressing escalated defects.

Responsibilities

  • Use soldering equipment to rework components on circuit boards.
  • Test for electrical continuity.
  • Inspect PCBs for conformance with IPC-A-610 standards.
  • Document quality issues and collaborate with the engineering group for escalated defects.
  • Identify components based on drawings or electrical diagrams and replace them as necessary.
  • Rework components with lead-free solder, including both surface mount and thru-hole methods.

Essential Skills

  • Proficient in soldering and reworking components on circuit boards.
  • Ability to identify components based on drawings or electrical diagrams.
  • Experience with lead-free soldering in both surface mount and thru-hole applications.
  • Previous rework experience with a wide variety of board designs and layouts.
  • Computer skills and experience working in an ERP system preferred.
  • Surface Mount and Thru Hole Soldering experience.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with electronic assembly and production.
  • Comfortable using hand tools.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.

Work Environment

Work in a lean manufacturing environment that is clean and organized. The workspace is bright and fairly quiet, although some areas may have a paint-like smell. The role may require lifting up to 25 lbs.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Vancouver, WA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr.
