Job Purpose:
The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will be responsible for the financial health and operational efficiency
of Sukup Manufacturing Co. and its subsidiaries. As a member of the company’s Executive Team, the
CFO will play a critical role in shaping and executing the financial strategy, optimizing performance,
and supporting the company's long-term financial goals. The ideal candidate has extensive
experience in financial management and is skilled in overseeing multi-entity operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and execution of the company’s financial strategy aligned with overall business objectives.
- Oversee all financial functions, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, treasury, tax, and financial reporting.
- Ensure timely, accurate financial statements and compliance with GAAP and all relevant regulatory requirements.
- Develop and manage annual budgets and multi‑year financial plans, including capital expenditure planning.
- Monitor financial performance, analyze variances, and provide actionable insights and recommendations to the CEO and executive team.
- Lead cash flow management, banking relationships, and financing strategies to support ongoing operations and growth.
- Partner with operations to evaluate plant performance, cost structure, pricing, and margin improvement opportunities in a manufacturing environment.
- Oversee internal controls, risk management, and audit processes to safeguard company assets.
- Direct and develop the finance and accounting team, building capabilities to support a growing organization.
- Support strategic initiatives such as M&A, major capital projects, and expansion opportunities through financial modeling and due diligence.
- Present financial results and key metrics to the Board of Directors and other stakeholders as needed.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; MBA or Master’s
- degree preferred.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) certification preferred.
- 10+ years of progressively responsible financial leadership experience, including multi-subsidiary or multi-entity experience.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Demonstrated experience in strategic financial planning, financial reporting, budgeting, and risk management.
- Proven ability to lead and develop finance teams, fostering a results-oriented and collaborative environment.
