Location: Westerville, OH (Onsite)

Compensation: $50,000–$60,000 base salary + monthly commission

Position Overview

The Associate Carrier Sales Representative is an entry-level, high-growth sales role within our fast-paced brokerage operation. In this role, you will develop core skills in carrier sourcing, relationship management, and rate negotiation while playing a critical part in covering customer freight.

You will work in a high-volume, performance-driven environment, gaining hands-on experience in market strategy, pricing, and logistics execution—laying the foundation forfuture growth and advancement.


What You’ll Do

  • Drive carrier capacity by making high-volume outbound calls to source and secure trucks
  • Negotiate competitive freight rates and service terms with carriers
  • Build and grow a carrier portfolio, focusing on long-term partnerships
  • Coordinate and execute shipments from pickup through delivery with real-time problem solving
  • Track and manage loads while proactively communicating updates to internal teams
  • Analyze market trends (pricing, capacity, seasonality) to make informed decisions
  • Ensure compliance and accuracy of carrier documentation, load details, and transit requirements
  • Resolve service issues quickly to maintain customer satisfaction
  • Utilize TMS and load boards to optimize carrier selection and execution
  • Represent EFS professionally in all carrier and internal interactions

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred (or equivalent experience)
  • 0–2 years of experience in sales, logistics, or customer-facing roles
  • Strong communication, persuasion, and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-energy sales environment
  • Highly motivated, competitive, and goal-oriented mindset
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; ability to learn TMS platforms quickly
