JOB SUMMARY: Work alone, or with other crewmembers, on all facets of general maintenance and construction; operates various types of machinery; work may be assigned in accordance with crewmember’s strongest work background.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The following tasks describe the basic functions of the job and represent the type of work performed. They do not constitute an exhaustive list of the duties and responsibilities performed on the job. The following frequencies and percentage of time spent are approximations only and are subject to flexibility dependent on organizational needs.
- Responsible for completion of general maintenance work orders. Maintain shop equipment. Inspect, design, fabricate, construct, repair, replace, and maintain all structural elements within District buildings including walls, ceilings, floors, roofs, gutters, downspouts, cabinets, millwork, bookcases, whiteboards, dispensers, doors, windows, glazing, bleachers, lockers, basketball goals, Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)-related items/modifications, and other miscellaneous furnishings and equipment. Assist with inspections for punch lists, preventive maintenance, and repairs. [Daily, 75%]
- Maintain District vehicle, tools, equipment, and stock of supplies. [Daily, 5%]
- Maintain daily documentation on work order system. [Daily, 3%]
- Assist in snow removal duties as requested. [Monthly, 5%]
- Share on-call duties for department. [Monthly, 5%]
- Operate core drill and concrete saw for concrete asphalt as well as forms, pours, and finishes concrete. [Quarterly, 2%]
- Perform other related duties as assigned or requested. [Daily, 5%]
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: The minimum amounts of formal education, professional work experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities that must be met for a candidate to be considered for a position
- High School Equivalency (HSE) diploma
- Four (4) years of professional general maintenance work experience, including specialty trades
- Must meet insurability requirements of the Colorado School District Self Insurance Pool
- Criminal background check and fingerprinting required for hire
MINIMUM CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENSES: The minimum certifications and licenses that must be met, valid, and unexpired for a candidate to be considered for a position
- Colorado driver’s license
