Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Contact Center Representative to support our healthcare operations. This role is responsible for medical scheduling, patient registration, and delivering high-quality service while maintaining strict patient confidentiality. The ideal candidate will have experience in a healthcare or contact center environment and demonstrate strong communication and organizational skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage inbound and outbound calls in a high-volume contact center environment
- Schedule medical appointments accurately and efficiently
- Complete patient registration and update electronic medical records (EMR)
- Ensure compliance with patient privacy regulations and protection of PHI
- Provide excellent customer service while managing patient expectations
- Document all interactions clearly and accurately
- Support patient inquiries regarding services, appointments, and general information
- Contribute to a positive team environment and support employee engagement initiatives
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED (required)
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a contact center, customer service, or healthcare setting
- Knowledge of medical scheduling and patient registration processes
- Understanding of patient privacy requirements (PHI compliance)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to multitask and work independently with self-initiative
- Basic computer proficiency and experience with electronic medical record (EMR) systems
- Strong listening skills with attention to detail and accuracy
Preferred Qualifications
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
- Certification or ability to pass the Health Care Language Proficiency or Interpreter Assessment (via MasterWord Interpreter Services) if providing non-English communication
