Our well-respected manufacturing client needs a Buyer for their team! This full-time, interim role is perfect for a relationship builder with at least four years of experience.

Responsibilities of the Buyer

• Acquire inbound materials and services in a timely manner
• Manage formalized risk mitigation programs to reduce vulnerability of supply chain interruptions
• Qualify suppliers and maintain effective supplier relationships focused on availability, quality, and cost
• Use Excel, MRP, and ERP systems to track purchasing activities
• Issue POs
• Drive internal procedure improvements and deliver training to those improvements
• Assist with inventory control and perform additional tasks as required

Qualifications of the Buyer

• 4+ years of purchasing experience in manufacturing
• Proven experience with ERP and MRP systems and MS Excel
• Excellent supplier relationship development
• Strong negotiation and organizational skills
